request for feature - background mask on arc aligned text

Hi all

to the powers that be, its really cool that express tools has arc aligned text. this helps me immensely with tower crane radius charts...

however the text cannot be background masked (except for wiping out the background.

does anyone know if this is planned to be fixed in the near future?

i noticed quite a few requests for a work around when googling for a solution.

ETs are static add-ons from the year 1998: they rarely get updated until they are incorporated as a core command in the program. No news if that's going to happen yet.

Seeing as i emailed Autodesk and they said it was a great idea.

I have since had a reply

"Hello,

Unfortunately, no it is not planned to be able to background mask arc aligned text right now. I know there are a lot of requests on it. The arc aligned text is a special express tool that was originally built as a little add on. It didn't have background mask but does have a lot of other features.

It is a good wishlist item though that we are definitely tracking.
