Font Change between CAD stations??

Hi everyone,

A relatively simple one I hope this time.

I pulled up a coworker's drawing and noticed that his title block font had changed to mine.  Is this a setting I can change, so opening his drawings doesn't change the font?

Thanks,

MarkF

Have you both got the same fonts in the same font folders?

Hi,

Fonts are linked, you can not embbed them.

There are two types:

.shx and installed fonts of OS.

For both: You can have the same Font(names) with another definition,

or you don't have a font of this name.

Open this .dwg, press [F2]

Is there a message about missing fonts?

Check out the text styles and see if there's something missing.

More common than you'd think.

Majority use Standard text style but since there's no actual Standard.shx or Standard.ttf 20 different users may be using many different fonts for the Standard text style.

Most also use Standard text style for their linetype definitions so their linetypes display differently as well.

Having an office standard helps until the drawing leaves your office and is printed by someone else.

Aww man...     and there was I thinking it was just a quick "check this box" solution.

Evidently we are using different fonts, mine is Arial, his is User2.  I think I know where the issue lies.

Thanks for everyone's input!
