I am totally stuck on a project. I need to do a simple electrical grounding drawing(2d) but i have plans that were given to me with tons of xrefs(3d) in the drawing and about a million layers. i can barely navigate through the drawing. Anyone have any suggestions of how i can explode these xref"d drawings and put condense them all into one layer?
One quick way maybe to create a dwf from the drawing with all those xrefs which will combine everything into a single layer and then in a new drawing attach the dwf and then you can draw over it with your electrical grounding.
If you know you only need the wall layers use the XLIST command to determine the wall layer names. Once those are determined you can turn off the layers you don't need in the XREFs in the Layer Manager.
