Hi everyone:

When I move or copy the masked text, the offset factor and border color are changed.
This problem only occurs in my AutoCAD.

I don't know if this post is in the right place in this forum or not.

I'm not able to produce the issue in version 2024.  The group copies and moves as expected.

Another option would be to do this using Mtext with a frame and background mask.

I can't duplicate it in 2004 either. I haven't used that tool in a long time. As @MMcCall402 mentioned. I use MText with a background mask.

Dear sir:

That's absolutely correct.
You don't have this problem in your AutoCAD and this problem is not visible.
This problem only occurs in my AutoCAD.
I don't know what, where, when, or how the variable was applied that caused this problem.

Is it possible that this problem is due to the installation of some add-ins?

Is it possible that the answer to this problem can be found in another forum?
If so, how can I move this post to that forum?

It's possible there might be an answer in the AutoCAD Forum. If you want to request the post be moved. Use the Report button. That will get your request to the Admin.

I do remember it being a pain including having to select and move both text and border to the front but like everyone else switched to using Mtext with both border and background that automatically resize when the Mtext is modified.

I haven't used Text Mask or even plain Text in years. Maybe it's time you make the switch yourself.

I think you'd only have to select both if PICKSTYLE was set to 0.

Using plain text you have to select each line of text and the border to move to front, using Mtext with border and background it's just one object but you wouldn't need to modify it anyway.
