I feel that most of us use dual monitors for our CAD stations. Will AutoCAD ever support more dual monitor goodies like docking, using both screens, etc?
Thanks.

Hi,
>> when you got to lunch or your monitors kick into power save mode
>> the AutoCAD shrinks back to 1 monitor
First ... it's a Windows question as Windows informs the applications that one monitor is unplugged and to avoid invisible dialogs the applications are restricted to monitor 1.
BTW: I would never let AutoCAD AND it's working files open when I leave the workstation. Energy saving modes can create more isses than just swap to display 1.

Hi! If you are using a Windows system, try opening one of your cad file. Once it's open, find the Autocad App in your desktop or in the start apps section, right click the icon/app then click "Run as administrator" then open a file on that window. Then you have 2 operating Autocad XD
Please let me know if you have an alternate solution for this.

Has AutoCad still not resolved this issue after 7 years of requests by the workforce to comply with the use of multiple monitors? I don't think anyone in the Engineering world is using a single monitor anymore. How hard is it to update the program so that dwg. tabs can be opened on another display?
