Drop Down Menus

Is it possible to create a drop down menu that contains only text?

I have a sheet of data that I refer to quite often and i'm fed up having to open a document (sometimes i've got loads of documents open) or refer to a paper copy to get this info

So I'm looking for some way to create a drop down that contains this info without any commands associated with it.

I've attached an excel sheet to show what i would like to see including flyouts

Possible?

with or without a senseful command sequence doesn't matter.

Sure, your can - but it sounds you never tried it?

Are you talking about menus (MENUBAR), or ribbon only?

Menubar is perfect for this task.

Note: I prefer to create your own cuix file for this.

How to create a new .cuix file first:

Command: CUI

Change the tab, create a new .cuix file.

Back on the first tab:

Navigate to the partial menus in the upper left section, right click -> add your new .cuix file.

Start now to add your menus as shown in the video tutorial.

Thanks for the replies but I think we are at cross purposes;

I can use the CUI to make a drop down menu to which I can add commands. I've been doing this for years.

But in this instance, I don't want to add commands, I just want TEXT.

If I attempt to create a new menu its asking which commands I want to add to the menu.

Well, as I have just explained. I don't want to add commands.

I just want a list of data that can be read, nothing else.

The only content of pull down menus are 1. Tools, 2. Other menus, 3. Separation lines

You ignored my previous hint: "with or without a senseful command sequence doesn't matter."

BUT: In CUI AutoCAD, Tools are called "Commands" - That's bother you

(Note: "command" like the list in lower left area of CUI dialog is a completely wrong term, AutoDESK has been using it for two decades. Better would be "Tool" and much more better "Button", but also this therms are not 100% right.)

Set up "commands" (/ Tools / Buttons) with the Text-prompt you need,

add these to your Menu. That's the way you can go.

It doesn't matter that is called a "command", tool or button, - you can read the name and this is what you want: Just read..

Not sure why that's not all you ever needed to do.

OR are you wanting "text" to drop into your open file?
