Cursor lagging when Dynamic Input is on

I am using AutoCAD 2017 on Windows 7. I have noticed a problem with my cursor lagging and dragging when I am actively in a task such as copy or move. This just recently started happening, and I never had the same issue in previous versions. After researching the issue I finally figured out that it only happens when Dynamic Input is turned on. So now I have to keep toggling DYNMODE on and off since I have learned to use this function and find it very useful.

I have verified that my graphic card and driver are compatible. I have turned off Hardware Acceleration, tooltips, selection preview, etc. all the other things that various blogs and forum posts have suggested. By process of elimination the culprit seems to be Dynamic Input since when it is on, the lag happens. It's like trying to threat a needle with a wet noodle! When I click out of a command it goes back to normal and moves easily across the desktop.

Can anyone offer me an explanation as to why this is happening and how to correct it?

Do you have a compelling reason to have dynamic input ON? All of those things you mentioned, including DYN, all require processing power.

Do you notice the same performance drag in a new, empty drawing, as you do in a fairly large drawing?

Thanks, I had the IT department checkout your suggestions. He says all is OK. He also had me install 3 updates that I had not done as they were for different Autodesk products, one for Architecture and 2 for Recap 360. His suggestion was that there might be some small item in those updates that I might need. So I installed the updates and it seems to have solved the problem.

Curious, why wouldn't I have Dynamic Input on? What use it to me turned off?
