Create section issue

Hello to everyone,

I'm trying to create a 2D section from a 3D model, with the command shown in figure but this tool allow only to select *inventor file.

Regardless of all that, how can I create a 2D section from a 3D model?

Thank you.

Hi

not all "3D" is 3D, read the help about this command [F1].

If Acad ask for an Inventor file ONLY, there are no valid objects for 2D sections in your file.

Try this: Start command: _BOX

and create a 3DSolid.

Is it working now?

Hi,

>> but this tool allow only to select *inventor file.

Viewbase command Creates a base view from model space or Autodesk Inventor models. If model space does not contain any visible solids or surfaces, the Select File dialog box is displayed to enable you to select an Inventor model.

you can start SECTIONPLANE command ( valid in Model space ) and VIEWSECTION command ( valid in Paper space ) .

VIEWSECTIONVIEWSECTION
