Command Box Only, no Windows

Good afternoon everyone,

This may be a simple box checking, but I'm a user and abuser, not a techie, so here goes...

When I go to save something, instead of the SAVEAS window popping up, I get a long-winded request showing in the command box that I have to manually enter the save destination.  How do I fix this?!?

Cheers!

Would love to know how a setting like this just changes out of the blue. Just happened for me and so glad the solution was in the forum already. Thank you.

Do you run any custom commands that have anything to do with file operations?  Such a thing might change the setting, and might not be written to ensure it gets reset even if something goes wrong, so if an error occurs, it could leave you with the changed setting.

I'm not sure if I run such commands 😉, but don't think I do, as it has never happened before. But anyway, it was mostly curiosity and thankfully there is an easy solution. Thanks for getting back.
