Combining GeoTiff and DXF

Can someone give  a simple work through on combining a GeoTIFF file and a DXF file? Thanks for your help

Hi @Anonymous,

 

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

 

I am not sure exactly what you are looking for but start by opening the DXF in AutoCAD and then saving it as a DWG file. Then attach your image.

 

Can you share your files so I can better understand what you are asking?

  1. Begin a new drawing or open an existing one.
  2. Plot the GeoTiff in the drawing as 3dFaces.
  3. SaveAs desired DXF file.

Note that plain AutoCAD does not provide the means to complete step 2, you will need Civil3D or an add-on.
