Closing the 2DSECTIONRESULTEDIT command when 2Dsection/elevation tab does not appear

so i ran into a weird glitch where my section tab is not appearing at all (see that i am in fact highlighting cut sections and there is no tab at the top)

of course work still must be done, so I've just been using commands for everything. but now i've run into the emergency problem that the only way to close the section editor is to press the button that appears on the tab i don't have. so now i'm dead in the water because i cant save or edit anything else while the section editor is enabled.

if anyone can tell me what happened to my section tab, I'd really appreciate it, but even if someone can tell me how to save and quit so that i don't have to trash my progress by forcing autocad closed

Or right-click where the X is shown to reveal a missing TAB?

Or Click on any other button on that visible Ribbon, like that SAVE button?

Or repeatedly Tap the ESC button on your keyboard?

Are you really still just waiting to do something?

Accepted solution

if anyone is stumbling across this post in 2035:
when I took a break from staring at a wall and sobbing helplessly like the useless slob I must be. I did some more poking around and I found that someone else has had this issue in 2015. I haven't gotten a chance to test the solution to see if it still works in 2025 since I clearly must be so lazy and incompetent. but I can confirm that the command INPLACEEDITSAVEALL (or INPLACEEDITDISCARD) do still function as a work-around. I'll check to see if the suggestion of restoring the tab through the CUI window works later as a permanent solution
