Drafting Help

I am using Auto Cad 2019 version.

I just came to a problem and the solution is beyond me. I have attached a drawing showing the location in clouded area. I could not Fillet, could not extend, could not offset. When I try to offset 24" - it offsets 12" and also in a different spot not parallel.

Where I messed myself up.

Please help.

@apanbasu Are you trying to edit your XREF from the top file (without entering the xrefs)?

PLUS what @paullimapa wrote too (see attached)

It solved the offset and extension command but will not work for fillet command. I am experiencing this problem on this drawing only. There is no issue on other drawings

I was able to show the offset using trim and extension. But I prefer to have rounded corners.

Still it helped and thank you for the help.

I was not trying to change any drawing on xref. The drawing you have attached without xref is my working drawing. As I said to my reply to Mr. Li - the offset and extension is working but not fillet with the command he suggested.

I modified drawings with extension but I prefer to have rounded corners.

First use the FLATTEN command by selecting the objects that are non coplanar (LINES you want to FILLET)

Then you can run the FILLET command on them.

Also I tend to leave LWDISPLAY set to OFF so the display doesn't get all cluttered up.

I bet there was an error message at the commandline, wasn't there. Look again. Then look at your drawing, which is this

FLATTEN command is what the error message you got from FILLET command was needing you to do. HTH

I did not see any message in the command line. But i will expand the command line to see for the error message

But I uses LWDISPLAY set to OFF as suggested by Mr. Li and it worked.

I thank you all for extending helping hand to this old man.
