I'm having a dimensioning problem, and it doesn't seem to matter if it something I have created or something a customer has sent to me.
When I attempt to dimension a circle, I get the following error message:
Select arc or circle:
Object selected is not an arc, circle or polyline arc segment.
A few days back, I got this error message, and when I came in the next morning, I was able to dimension the circle.
Has anyone else experienced this problem, and what was the fix?
Thank you so much for your help.

I've attached the latest part that gives me that message. Since it doesn't matter where it was created, I would think it's a setting issue, but I have no idea what setting to change.
As far as how I dimension, I go to the hole diameter icon in the Dimension section of Annotate.

Your sample seems just fine here: R2013 (plain), DWG file attached with dimensions.

I was pretty sure there was nothing wrong with the file I attached, which is why I'm asking if there is some sort of setting I need to change so it will dimension correctly the first time.

From opening your .dxf file, I noticed that it is in the 2000 format. Do you experience the same behavior whe the .dxf file is in the 2013 format?

Thank you.
It doesn't matter what format the part is in, nor does it matter if it's a .DXF or .DWG.

This happens when using AutoCAD Mechanical, or vanilla AutoCAD.... or both?

I have autocad mechanical 2013. I have no idea what the files from customers have been created in.
Like I have in an earlier post, I can come back a day or two later, and it will dimension just fine.
