Hey guy I'm having trouble at work. I was given a DXF file from a surveyer that has points that are supposed to coralate piers. I have to overlay this data on our own architectural drawings and see if they line up ok. So when I open the DXF file it set to decimal and inches in the drawing units. The points measure out at 8 in but in reality they are feet cause server units or whatever.
My question is how do I go about scaling? Do I scale the survey points to 8 architectural feet or scale the architectural drawings down to match the points?
Any help would be appreciated.

If you live in the USA
Scale the survey drawing up 12 times because you use inch base, the survey uses feet.

So open DXF file, scale command, select all points, 12 enter. Keeping the drawing units at decimal inches?

The surveyor uses decimal of a foot, never with inch.
DXF in his drawing into an empty drawing with UNITS set for DECIMAL.
Then scale, all, 12 times.
Use CTRL + C (for copy) and select all.
Open your Architectural drawing and paste.
They should match.

Hi Nikolas,
Can you post both of your drawings?

The surveyor must've incorrectly set the units for the drawing. To fix, do either of 2 things:
Posting a small part of the drawing would help confirm the drawing setup.
