Hi,
Whenever I open a new dwg AutoCAD opens a separate CAD instead of opening the new drawing on the dwg which is already opened. As in it doesnt place them on the tabs but open a separate CAD altogether.
Why would this be happneing?

Try setting SDI=0 to see if that remedies this behavior. Here is an article that explains how it can be used.
