While using autocad for 3d modeling, I couldn't change the view style in the layout, if I try to change it from 2d wireframe to any other style the console sends an error message (example: "unknow command conceptual"). The viewing styles work properly only in the model. I even tried to reset to default settings and I re-installed the program but it doesn't work.

What method are you using to change the visual style?

Yes, it seems that the Ribbon control is "executing" the option but not the command.
Is that something an out-of-date graphics driver can cause?

Hi,
sorry for this stupid question, but all your picures from layout are all made while in Paperspace..
The message "cannot set a visual type in paper space" is correct, if you tried to set it while in paperspace.
Also your picture of error message was made while in paperspace.
Go to your Layout, jump into your viewport - command MSPACE
and try it again.

omg thank you, I didn't know how to use the layout for 3d modeling, I always draw 2d things. I typed mspace and now the view in the layout works as the model space.

Using modelspace in the layout to make visual styles work won't cause any problem while trying to print the views into a pdf file right?
