AUTOCAD DEVELOPMENT - LAYER PROPERTIES MANAGER RESTRUCTURE

Hey Autodesk,

Andre here with Dover Kohl & Partners Town Planning,

I wanted to make a recommendation regarding the Layer Properties Manager tab in AutoCAD.

It would be highly effective if the tab could be toggled to prioritize the most recent used layers in the top portion of the  Layer Properties Manager tab to eliminate unnecessary scrolling though large AutoCAD files with a significant amount of layers.

This could make using AutoCAD much more efficient for planners, designers and architects working on specific sections of a large document at any given time.

I’ve attached an Adobe Illustrator screenshot of how their text tab is organized specifically by usage.

Please don’t hesitate to let me know if this development opportunity is achievable.

@AJDKP No one here is Autodesk, your post in here and the odd screenshot in a PDF you posted is just dead.

Looks like you are ready to explore Layer Filters in the program, start here from HELP https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2021/ENU/AutoC...

and online https://atgusa.com/layer-filters/

To offer suggestions to Autodesk, the correct venue is here https://www.autodesk.com/company/contact-us/product-feedback

Good luck.

Good luck.

Thanks for you response. I understand the Layer Filters. It just seems like AutoCAD would benefit from a quick access panel for recently used layers.  HUGE time saver.
