Dots (Zeros) Error while creating custom linetype

Hi all, 

I keep getting the same error that "Dots (Zeros) cannot be adjacent" when trying to create my custom linetype. 

I know that the positive numbers represent the length of the line and the negative numbers represent the space after the line and before the text. However, I'm not sure what's causing the Dots (Zeros). I don't have any periods either. Does anyone have a clue as to how I'm setting up the line incorrectly? I included my linetype and the notepad for it.

You boxed in exactly the problem:

Those are adjacent dots [zero-length pen-down segments].  Try removing one of the 0, elements, or more likely, both, since you're starting with a pen-down segment after them anyway.

How do I modify the lines though, to remove the zeros. I've included my model space that shows my custom linetype.

Did the make-a-linetype routine not put it into a file with a .pat ending?  You can open that in a plain-text editor such as Notepad, and delete the 0,0, part, and save it.

No. it's saving as .lin file. I'm able to open the definition in notepad, and have tried just deleting the zeros, but I'm not sure if that changes anything in AutoCad.

My mistake -- .lin is right [several Hatch topics recently have me thinking .pat].  After you make that change, save the file, and in an AutoCAD drawing, use the LINETYPE command and the Load option to reload the definition.  Does it then work?
