AutoCAD and cloud work issues

I am currently  in my 3rd year studying surveying and mapping science at Newcastle University.

For my dissertation I am using cloud works with Cloud Works with AutoCAD.

I am having problems drawing on my point cloud, I have imported from cyclone, from the images below I have started drawing on top of the point cloud

However when I rotate the cloud it shows up in 3D. The pictures are shown in the word document atached.

I was wondering if anyone may knwo how to draw this in 2D as apposed to 3d.

Check sysvar OSNAPZ and see if that is of help (>>>details<<<).
