AutoCAD 2013 Crash Error when re-installed

Hi everyone,

I am using AutoCAD 2013 version. It was working well for me but once I uninstalled it because of it's inventor server not working, when I try to install it back again it starts creating a problem and become closing in crash.

Can anyone help me out how to fix this problem...???

I appericiate your kind response.

Regards

So this is an installation problem? find your installation log file and post it here, the problems might be listed in it.

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Community! The install log should be kept in your Windows User Profile Temp folder.

Please attach it so I can take a look for you.

HI @Anonymous,

the log files should be in this folder on your workstation:

C:\Users\v<USERNAME>\AppData\Local

HI @Anonymous,

Were you able to locate the logs files for me so I can determine what caused the crash when you reinstalled?

I would like to assist you in resolving this problem.

Hi,

>> After shutting down

Which software? (or the workstation?)

>> an error report appears on screen

Please show it to us, it's difficult to make suggestions for a message "an error ..." .. not knowing what the error message/report showed you (but not us).

>> that's contains some files

"Some" is not that good as info, which files did it contain?

Back to your first question (besides of reinstall might have not been necessary for solving the Inventor server failure message): when you reinstalled it:

  • have you first uninstalled AutoCAD?
  • did you follow the rules for clean uninstall?
  • or did you just a repair install?

Next questions to know more about that:

  • you had local installation files or the DVD from AutoCAD 2013 and installed that from local resources or did you install from Internet-"Install Now" option?
  • have you had disabled your firewall
  • have you had disabled antivirus software
  • did you run the installation as administrator

A lot of questions, but they are needed to know (as exact as possible) what your current state is.

Hi @Anonymous,

Please look at @Alfred.NESWADBA's post and provide some information. unfortunately, the log files would have helped to determine what is going on with your installation and it would have been better to attach them to the thread.

Do you receive any error messages?  If you would create a new administrative User account and logon with it do you still have the issues.

Please also, tell us what operating system you are running, how much RAM and disk space you have and also the type of graphics card.

HI @Anonymous,

Does the software complete the installation or does it fail before that? If you could attach a setup log that would be helpful (it is in your Windows profile\Temp folder).

If it fails after you installed and when opening or working with a drawing please let me know.

Hi,

>> It's properly installed and all functions are working

So it does not crash any more?

>> have changed windows of my PC

To which version of Windows? (just because AutoCAD 2013 is not supported for Windows 10 >>>more info's<<<)

>> It's prompt "Inventor Server Failed to Load"

Look to >>>that thread<<< (and others already existing in www with suggestions and solutions.
