Adding image

Hi I have a problem with the AutoCad 2017. I need add to my project a
picture in .BMP format. The problem is that the picture backround and
foreground are replaced. When i turned on transparency then the
picture backround still have colour of layers while the picture colour
are transparent. In previous version of AutoCAD this was vice
versa. Backround of picture was transparent and picture foreground
colour was just like colour of layers. I hope that you can help me
solve this problem, otherwise i must back to previous version of
AutoCad.

Hi and Welcome to AutoDesk Forum,

it will be more helpful if you show us an image or post the CAD file itself.

Hi,

Are you attaching the bmp image as a reference or as an OLE object?

If reference then the path to the picture is relevant.

HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I imagine that you are trying to place a logo or such. Is it possible to share the image file and the drawing file on a post? I am happy to look at the issue for you.

I don't have my computer with me, but i asked my girlfriend to do screen. She do not know AutoCAD that is why the image is rotated.

As I said the background image is the color of the layer. The colors in the picture are my drawings, they are not relevant.

Hi,

I suggest to do the follow to get what you need and as attached below image :

  • open your image from Paint tool.
  • Ctrl+A to select all then Ctrl+c to take a copy image from it while you open it from Paint.
  • keep Paint opened and go for AutoCAD.
  • type PASTESPEC command and select Image Entity (see below image).

It working, thank for help. Well, why the insert option don't work propely in AutoCAD 2017?
The same file .dwg looking correctly on previous program version and incorrectly on latest 2017. If only I have this bug, maybe that are bad settings?
