Only Layer 0 Prints or exports to PDF

Just started to use AutoCAD again after a 25 year hiatus (left architecture for the internet), and have run into a problem I can't seem to solve.

I created a drawing with a bunch of layers, for text, glazing, dimensions, etc - but when I go to print, only the default layer 0 does so.

To get it done, I moved all my elements to layer 0, but of course this isn't the way to do it!

I have included a copy of my drawing if someone would be so kind to tell me where I have missed this property or something?

Thanks

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi @Anonymous ,

All layers in your drawing, except layer 0, have "Not to plot" property enabled.

You need to turn off this option.

Thank you @maxim_k

How do I enable the print options in the layers window? Mine appears to be missing.

I am on Mac Catalina.

You can set Plot option for layers with Layers palette, but this option is not visible in Layers palette by default, so you need to make it visible at first. Right-click on the layers table caption:

Plot option.gif

Now click on Not Plot icon for each layer.

NOTE: Defpoints layer is AutoCAD service layer which never plotted.

Apparently these are off by default according to this article, so I enabled them in the layers property.

But now, they are not clickable and remain grayed out. What else could I be missing?

Thank you @maxim_k - your screencast helped so much.

I didn't think clicking on those were doing anything as their status didn't appear to change.

What is not clickable? Do you mean "not to plot" icons?
They are not grayed out, this is their usual "muffled" look. And when you click on icon - it should disappear, which means enabling the Plot option.

Muffled - that explains it. Thank you.
