Import library blocks

Hi, I've recently had to completely remove everything on my computer including the Operating System. Since I've reloaded everything including AutoCAD LT for Mac I cannot load the w-blocks from my CAD library whereas previously it was not a problem. Can anyone help?

Hi Victor,

If you are using AutoCAD 2022 now, then you need to study the changes that have occurred in Block libraries feature in 2022 version:

If you are using 2021 version, then the process of adding block libraries is the same as in previous versions.
You can add your existing block library files on Block Libraries tab of Blocks palette:

Can you describe your workflow in more details?

Hi everyone, thank you for your replies but I don't think I made myself clear. The vast majority of the blocks I want to import are greyed out now I've reloaded the OS etc including AutoCAD whereas before I had to reconfigure the computer they were all accessible. If anyone can help to overcome this issue I would be appreciated.

@Anonymous ,

>>>>> The vast majority of the blocks I want to import are greyed out

Where they are "Grayed out"?

Can you provide the exact steps you take to add blocks to Block libraries? It will be better if you illustrate these steps with screenshots.

Hi everyone,

I’ve managed to resolve the issue by removing the blocks which for some reason when I reinstalled AutoCAD all the blocks were in the Cloud.

By removing them from the Cloud they are now all accessible in the normal way.

Many thanks for everyone’s help.
