Can anyone help me?

Cheers!

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Elisabeth,

No, EXTRIM command is not available in AutoCAD for Mac.

Doesn't Extrim command exist even in AutoCAD 2016?

There is a LISP out there called COOKIECUTTER, find it and give it a try, see if it works: there are multiple versions too I believe.

After that... you probably have to fake it with wipeouts and solid hatches etc.

Hi @amandahgmartins ,

Not sure that COOKIECUTTER will work on Mac, as it has ActiveX functions in its code.

But you can try EXTRIM.LSP from AutoCAD r.14 CADTOOLS (Bonus tools). I slightly modified it so that it works in AutoCAD for Mac.

Download attached archive with two LSP files - EXTRIM.LSP and AC_BONUS.LSP. Extract it to some the path to which is specified in "Support Files Search Path" on Application tab of AutoCAD for Mac Preferences.

Use APPLOAD command to load EXTRIM.LSP and try EXTRIM command.

Hey, thanks for .lsp, it also worked 😃

However, i am having some troubles to use it in an other .lsp file. It says " Unknown command "EXXTRIM" (see PS) even if i am able to use it directly in autocad.

Do you have any idea how to fix that?

Have a nice day,

Matteo

Ps i used a simple code such as

(defun c:Test_extrim ()
(command "EXXTRIM")
(princ)
)

It is called EXXTRIM because i feared collusion with other annotations

Typing EXXTRIM in Autocad gives the good command .

Hi @Matteo_L ,

Try to use (C:EXTRIM) instead of (command "EXTRIM").

Thanks for the answer!

Is there a way to automate the boundary selection?

Tried this
(c:EXXTRIM)
(command boundary)
(command pt_outside)

with boundary and pt_outside being defined earlier but the prompt "Pick a POLYLINE, LINE, CIRCLE, ARC, ELLIPSE, IMAGE or TEXT for cutting edge" keep poping up.
Sorry if the questions are a bit dummy, trying my best! 😃

Hi @Matteo_L ,

Probably possible - you need to rewrite some of the code in EXTRIM.LSP
