Wire Tagging

Dear All,

I have a question regarding the wre tagging in AutoCAD.

I want to modify the wire tag.. into this format

Source Destination Format.

SOURCE COMPONENT TAG - SOURCE COMPONENT TERMINAL / DESTINATION COMPONENT TAG - DESTINATION COMPONENT - TERMINAL

Say for example.

I have a push button going to a relay

PB1-4/K1-13

How do I configure that in Autocad electrical?

Thanks a lot!

Regards,

Joh

There is no out-of-the-box solution for this. But you should be able to achieve this using utility that Nate Holt once created:

Hi Sirs

I still don't know how to use the LISP files.

I've already used the APPLOAD command

but I do not know how do next, the blog has no instructions further after you APPLOAD the .lsp files.

Hope you can help out.

Thanks in advance.

You must download and appload the file OTHER_END.lsp that you can find here:

Does it still say "unknown command" when you type OTHER_END on the command line, after you have loaded OTHER_END.LSP ?

It does not give me an "unknown command" error anymore but after i APPLOAD both, nothing happens.

What should supposed to happen after I appload?

😞 I really appreciate your responses Sir, I hope you could help me.

Thanks a lot

It's supposed to change the existing wire numbers. Do you have wire numbers inserted on your wires?

After the appload, you must type OTHER_END on the command line, to start the command! Just as I've written HERE

Hi Sir,

Please see my new screen cast

OTHER_END COMMAND

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/6fa96876-f4fa-4d9f-9813-473587069e45

I was able to type OTHER_END at the command prompt.

However, it does not give me my desired output.

1.JPG

Say for example from breaker CB2 to transformer T1 tag should be.. CB2-2/T1-H1 and CB2-4/T1-H2 following the format.

Source Tag Name - Source Pin / Destination Tag Name - Destination Pin

I think there's some need to configure the settings or some sort.

We are almost close to the solution of this problem Sir. I am really glad for your responses.

I hope we be able to find solution to this.

Thank you in advance!

Ok
I was thinking of the wrong code. Try to type MILNUM_ALLDWG instead, and see what you get.
You might need to tweak the code a little bit to get exactly what you want.

Hi Sir I tried using milnumx_alldwg command

Please see my screen cast again on the link below.

http://autode.sk/2suaLy3

Still i wasn't able to get the right ouput I am expecting.

I think what we needed to do is to configure the codes in the lsp files.

However, I really have zero idea on that 😞

I hope you can help me Sir.

Thank you and regards,

Joh
