Windows Update Feb 2020 has broken AutoReporting on Windows 10

The following updates have occured on my machine today

KB4534132 - U
kb4532693 - U
KB4532938 - U
KB4528760
KB4515871

I could only uninstall the ones marked with a U

My Autoreporting worked fine until lunchtime. I rebooted the machine and the updates above came through.
Since then AutoReporting creates excel files with a date of 14th April 2020. The files remain locked for 1 minute by a user called "chongy" after autoreporting completes. After Autocad releases the files the dates update to todays date of 25 Feb 2020.

On opening the files, there is a blank row inserted at row 2 (see attached image)

The extended file lock and insertion of a line appears to be a problem caused by the microsoft updates.

Can Autodesk please look into this.

Thanks Jeff, that was also suggested by Autodesk, However' I already had that issue last late last year and performed that  fix in December. All was working after that, however this is a new issue but possibly upsetting the excel 2010 layer rather than the access 2010 layer.

Having followed Rhesusminus's advice and reported it to Autodesk. I will report back again and ask if they look into it deeper.

I have all those updates installed as well, but I have no problems creating a BOM.XLS using Automatic Reports.

I'm also running Office 365, 64-bit. You?

We have two machines, Mine has office 2019 and my boss has office 365. Rob
saw the problem first. Mine was running ok.

I rebooted the machine (I don't reboot often) causing the updates to come
through
My machine now has the same issue.

The interesting part is the initial long delay it takes for ACAD to close
the excel file after creating it. When the file is locked it has the name
'chongy' holding the file. I believe user is the developer and is hard
coded into electrical.

I appreciate your help and any escalation that you can offer.

Just a quick check...
If you close all instances of Excel before running Autoreport (check processes in task manager),is there any difference in behaviour then?

I've checked and no instances running. I also tried it on a 3rd W10
computer and the same problem.

We also re-installed Autocad, and updated. Same deal.

Under control panel Programs and Features does your MS Access database engine version show 14.0.7015.1000 ? 

If not you will need to remove and install that component from your AutoCAD install Folder shown in the last step of the previous link I posted.

Mine correctly reports 14.0.7015.1000 for the Access 2010 Database Engine.  Thanks all the same.

Microsoft access Database Engine update from Window update has screw up AutoCAD Electrical and there is no AutoCAD electrical update to fix this.  you need to manually down grade your database engine to office 2010.

just run the repair and try.

You beauty!!!! That has resolved my issue and on top of that has uncovered some subtle errors occurring in our drawings that we were not even aware of where panel components were not being updated after updating schematic components.

AutoDesk will need to be made aware of this so they can advise all their clients.

I've added the screencast to Aid Autodesk and for anybody interested in the original problem and the fix. Please note there is a long delay between 1.20 and 2.09 as I am waiting for Acad to release the lock on the excel file. But you can observe the dates of the excel files as 2010 during this time.

During the cast you will notice I apply the Access2010 fix and do not re-start Autocad. You will see that the  the problem persists. However, after restarting Autocad, the problem is gone.

My Windows Version & Build is 1909 (OS Build 18363.657)

My Office Version is 2019 MSO(16.0.12527.20170) 64-bit.

Windows provided another update and re-broke the Database Engine.

I've repaired it again to restore functionality.

It seems this will be an on-going cycle until a resolution is found.

I need to download drivers for my windows updates. Which free source do you use?

Drivers for any windows updates should be available from Microsoft, or Apple, or whomever made your operating system. I've never seen anyone charge money for a driver so I always try to get them from the manufacturer's websites, rather than 'free' ones.
