TASK LIST - NO PENDING UPDATES FOUND

HAY TO ALL

I AM USING AUTOCAD ELECTRICAL 2015

MY PROBLEM IS WHEN I AM UPDATING ANY PARENT COMPONENT (NO METER WHICH FIELD) AND SELECTING "OK" WHEN ASKING TO UPDATE THE RELATED FOOTPRINT WHICH IS IN ANOTHER DRAWING IN THE PROJECT,IT IS NOT UPDATES.

WHEN I LOOK IN THE COMMEND LINE THIS IS WHAT IT SAY

1 pending changes written out to C:/Users/yakov/AppData/Roaming/Autodesk/AutoCAD Electrical 2018/R22.0/enu/Support/user/one_upd.mdb
No pending updates found in C:/Users/yakov/AppData/Roaming/Autodesk/AutoCAD Electrical 2018/R22.0/enu/Support/user/one_upd.mdb

WHEN OPENING THIS FILE IN ACCESS, I CAN SEE THE CHANGE I MADE APPEAR THERE.

BUT IT IS STILL NOT WORK.

BUT! IF I AM SELECTING "TASK" AND THEN GOING TO THE TASK LIST AND PRESSING "OK" THE ACE IS UPDATES!!!

ANOTHER PROBLEM IS THAT THERE ARE SOME LINES IN THE TASK LIST THAT JUST STOKE THERE, NO METER IF I SELECT THEM ALL AND PRESS OK OR REMOVING THEM THEY STILL THERE.

CANT FIND ANY SOLUTION FOR THIS, I WONDER IF THERE ANY FILE BEHIND THAT CAUSE IT.

THANKS FOR THE HELP.1.png2.png

Can you make a video of the process?

I also have this problem. ACE 2018 though. I can post as a new question but I'm guessing these are possibly related.

I have two computer doing the same thing and a third that does not have this problem.

See screenshots.

I change the tag of a parent symbol. It recognizes there is a child symbol elsewhere and asks if I want to update it. Ok. Then it does nothing. (See "No pending updates found"). If I open the task list there is a task stuck in there from hours ago with a similar tag change I tried that also didn't work. (See "The pending update") You can see that this is not the current change I am trying to make (See "The actual change"). I have another screenshot of the child symbol untouched by any of these changes but looks like I can only add 3 screenshots.

This happens in multiple project files the same way. Also won't let me move terminals from one terminal strip to another. Acts like it does the change but when I click "done" and exit nothing has happened.  Ignores the change unless I select the new terminal strip before clicking on done. Then it works. Seems to have started around the same time.

Thoughts? Ideas? Screencast?

Interesting. Mine are all Windows 10 64bit. Looks like all of the updates are from the middle of January for all of them. One update is a different number for one of them but same time frame and doesn't correlate to the one that is working.

"Me too."

I just had to rush out a drawing set and cope with this sudden weird behavior, AutoCAD Electrical 2020 on Windows 10. Now I have to rush to do PLC programming, but when that's over I want to get this behavior solved properly.

I'll throw my "me too" into this discussion as well. Windows 10, AcadE 2019. I'm lead to think some update broke something along the way.

GOOD NEWS!!!!

AFTER LONG CALL WITH MICROSOFT, THAT I ASK TO DO DOWNGRADE TO MY OFFICE365

THE ACE GAVE ME MASSAGE "aceredist.msi IS MISSING" SO WHAT I DO WAS UNINSTALLING  "Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable"

DOWNLOADING FROM HER https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13255

AND EVERYTHING WORK PROPERLY NOW

I ASKED MYSELF WHAT FIX THE PROBLEM - OFFICE REINSTALL OR ACCESS DB ENGINE?

TRIED ON 2 OTHER COMPUTERS THE "ACCESS DB ENGINE" REINSTALL AND ALL WORK NOW!!!

PLEASE TRY AND LET ME KNEW YOUR RESULTS

GOOD LUCK

Thanks for the follow up. Instead of uninstalling and reinstalling the Access Database 2010 Redistributable, I ran a "repair" on it and so far this morning, I've had no problems. I'll update later today if I find it to start acting up again. I, for one, and pretty tired of these Windows 10/Office365 updates. It seems every time they push something out, it breaks something with AcadE and you either need to "repair" something or uninstall the update until a fix comes out.

This worked for me also.

System Settings -> Add or Remove Programs

Searched for "access" to find "Microsoft Access database engine 2010 (English)"

Clicked on "Modify"

Selected "Reinstall or Repair Microsoft Access database engine 1010 (English) to its original state." -> Next, etc...

Now when I modify the attributes of a device all of the other associated symbols also get updated.

AutoCAD Electrical is back to being broken again today, but I needed to do a couple small "as-built" updates and move on, since I'm too busy programming PLCs to troubleshoot AutoCAD Electrical again. Previously I followed steps mentioned by others in this thread in order to finish my drawings but with the "as-builts" done I won't be using ACADE for a couple weeks.

  • Windows OS Version (1909, 1903…)

Windows 10 1909

  • Installed Office Version (Office 365, 2019 / 32-bit or 64-bit)

2016 professional

  • AutoCAD Electrical Version (2020, 2019 /  updates installed?)

2020.0.1

  • Problematic Access driver 2010 version number (after windows update, Can be obtained under Control Panel - Programs and features - View updates)

14.0.7015.1000

  • Windows updated KB list - Screenshot kb.png

  • Reproducible steps with video for the issue (Use Screencast)

No way do I have time for this. When I had to update a component's catalog number, all the usual prompts about updating the footprint came up but once I click ok, the command line outputs "no pending updates found..."

Installing Screencast crashed AutoCAD Electrical and now the Ribbon is gone, so you won't be getting a Screencast from me. Yes, it's starting to make me irritable.

  • Any other Electrical functionality impacted other than “Auto reporting”  and “Task list - No pending Update Found”

Still broken on my end - seems the only way to temporarily "fix" it for the session is to repair/reinstall the Microsoft Access database engine 2010.

I'll add my details as you want...

  • Windows OS Version (1909, 1903) 1909
  • Installed Office Version (Office 365, 2019 / 32-bit or 64-bit) Office 365 / 64-bit (all updated, as if I had a choice)
  • AutoCAD Electrical Version (2020, 2019 /  updates installed?) 2019 / all updates installed
  • Problematic Access driver 2010 version number (after windows update, Can be obtained under Control Panel - Programs and features - View updates) Version 14.0.7015.1000
  • Windows updated KB list - Screenshot See below
  • Reproducible steps with video for the issue (Use Screencast)
  • Any other Electrical functionality impacted other than “Auto reporting”  and “Task list - No pending Update Found”. Sometimes I'll get an error after adding an entry to the catalog saying "Not a valid bookmark", and then AutoCAD becomes unresponsive and I have to force quit. This may be a separate issue.
