Terminal Strip Spacing/Offset Problem

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

Has anyone else struggled to get the spacing between terminal footprints correct? I modified the terminal footprint block drawings for the catalogue items I selected and since then the terminal strip Editor seems to place the terminals way too far apart - they used to be adjacent, like one would expect. From othe rforums I gathered that ACADE automatically places the footprints by determining the vertical height of the actual terminal blocks. I have no idea how to check whether this is happening correctly or whether there are other factors to consider with this.

Anyone got any ideas or advice on this? I have attached a file with two of the terminal strips as samples of the problem.

Kind regards.

I don't have any ideas for you, but I am trying to figure out how to do foot prints from the terminal blocks in my schematics with out any luck. Would you be able to help me?

Accepted solution

Looking at your blocks, some of the geometry lines had Dynamic Block activators on them.

Deleting those lines and re-inserting them fixed the problems with the spacing with me.

I also made sure everything was on Layer 0, ran overkill on them and purged the block of everything not needed.

Give these a try.

Hi Christina,

I would recommend following the instructions at the following link https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-electrical/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/201...

I think this set of instructions will be clearer than mine would be 🙂

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance I suggest starting a new discussion so the subject and topic relate well.
