Using a Table to show data in a layout with info taken from model space?

Hi there,

I am currently working in a layout that have a Table that shows some info from the drawing in the model space. Now I am just manually writtinn the info I have in the drawing but I guess there is a way to use the field command to fill the Table so that if a change get made in the drawing, it get updated in the table. But my table is in the layout space and my drawing is in the model space so apparently I cannot use field, and I would like to keep both things separated (Table in layout, drawing in model space) because that way I can work easier in the layout and I dont have to figure out scales for the Table if I show it through a viewport. Any hint?

Is your 'data' accessible from FIELD command? That's what you'd use in your tables.

I just find out that if I insert a field in my cell table, I can click in the drawing showing in the viewport and the data appears in my table that is in the layout. So my problem is solved. Hope this helpo someone else.
