When I render a 3D object in lunch time break quality, the image freezes after about 3 seconds.

Is this a result of the computer performance and graphics.

PC specs? Vided card? OS?
ACA variant?
Rendering parameters?
How long have you waited for it to unfreeze?

Setting was for photorealistic when rendering object.
I waited half hr. and it remained at 3sec. I was unable to close it down as the computer appeared to be frozen. I restarted the computer and lost the work, recovery went back to the previous days working.

Thanks.

Thanks for the info.
Does this happen in ALL files, or is this the first rendering you've attempted?
It could be a bad/corrupt file. Could be more: can you share your DWG file here?

Hi,

I can forward the drg. to you tomorrow, I'm working on a project just now and need to get it done for tomorrow when I have more time.

This is not my first attempt at rendering 3D. I've done a few for planning submissions in the past.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, I’ve attached the graphics, it’s the Quadro P4000 and I’ve also attached the drawing

which has been causing me problems.

It’s a simple extension for a social care project which I’ve tried to render which has been slow to respond

or freezes, the size of the drg. is 12MB.

The camera angle I’ve been using is camera 2.

Your input and assistance would be appreciated.

Regards Brian.

Thanks for the DWG file: I have the same video card here.

Other than what appears to be a lack of exterior lighting in your model (nice glow from the inside), rendering time from the position the DWG opened at on my slightly faster processor and double-your-ram Workstation took about +/- 3:43 minutes (my tower's fan got a workout from it).

Camera 2 Preview is also on the dark side but instant

Rendering from Camera2 has same issues as previous rendering, but did not take much longer to create here

No errors were detected in your DWG file.

Can you post a screenshot of your GRAPHICSCONFIG command pop-up?

What changed with your setup recently? Is this the only file acting up right now?

Hi Pendean, I've attached the graphics performance as you've suggested using the command GRAPHICSCONFIG

and I've taken a screen shot of the Task Log, which may help.

The computer I'm working on replaced and older computer with AutoCAD 2012 which never presented any problems. I started working on the this computer just before lockdown and cannot recreate the quality of render models carried out before. I've tried altering the light between warm and and white light but I'm still unable to get a satisfactory render quality.

Would improving the processor and increasing the RAM make a difference as the drg. is almost now unworkable.

Thanks for your assistance.

You appear to be running an older driver than mine in AutoCADARCH 2021.1 here. And my Tuner Log has way more entries than your "true" responses, so that may have something to do with it.

I also have LINEFADING and LINESMOOTHING variables turned off, not sure it matters but it might help you do to that as well. I don't think more RAM is your issue.

See what others jumping in here offer for ideas to try.
