Removing data from a door schedule

How do I remove data from a door schedule?  I have a shell and fit-out set that I am working on.  Both have been created as seperate projects in project navigator.  I have xrefed the shell base into the fit-out base and I need to remove the shell door references from the door schedule.

Any suggestions.

Use uniformat classifications to filter the exterior doors out or in depending on your schedule.

Steps:

1)Import the uniformat classifications

2)Change the door styles to add the classifications.

3)Change the schedules to filter for classifications.

You can also filter your door schedule by layers........

Could you explain the process a little?  I am not familiar with customizing schedules.

Thanks

If you choose to go the Classification route, you may find these Help articles (and the additional articles to which they link) of use:

About Classification Definitions

To Filter Scheduled Objects by Classification in a Schedule Table Style

In addition to Doug Broad's suggestion to use the Uniformat Classification Definition (which ships with the program), you could create your own Classification Definition with just the classifications you need for this task.  For example, on a previous project, we needed separate Door Schedules for a building shell package and an interior package, and there were existing-to-remain doors that were not to appear in either.  I created a Classification Definition to allow for each door to be classified as Shell, Interior or NoSchedule, and then two separate Schedule Table Styles were created, one having the Shell Classification set on the Applies To tab, and the other having the Interior classification set.

Thanks for the help all.  In the end we inserted the door and space schedules on the x-ref and only selected those doors or spaces that were part of that file.
