Arnold - Cinema 4D starting up stop at 'loading plugins'

I have tryout version of Arnold and the problem is that when Cinema 4D is starting up it stuck at 'loading plugins'. After uninstaling Arnold everything starts to work again. Any idea what can be the problem? I have crapy video GTX 560 Ti - maybe this?

What version of CINEMA 4D? These are the minimum required versions:

  • CINEMA 4D R17.032 or above
  • CINEMA 4D R18.020 or above
  • CINEMA 4D R19.024 or above

What version of R18? You need to check the full version number. Is it R18.020 or later?

Version of Cinema 4D is R18.057. I have also bit old processor - 2Quad Q6600 2.4GHz.

Octane Demo is working here though...

I am having the same problem too with Cinema 4D R19 and the latest version of Arnold for a iMac 4.2 GHz Intel Core i7 64 GB 2400 MHz DDR4 Radeon Pro 580 8192 MB. Was there a solution for this?

Do you have R19.024 or later?

Can you try running the CINEMA 4D commandline app? That should give us more error messages.

  • Open a Terminal
  • In the Terminal, run this command:

/Applications/MAXON/CINEMA\ 4D\ R19\Commandline.app/Contents/MacOS/Commandline

  • Then highlight everything output by Commandline, press CMD+C to copy it, and post it

  • CPUs need to support the SSE4.1 instruction set

Your CPU, the Q6600 does not have the 4.1 instruction set needed by Arnold, you need to update your CPU.
