I can't apply two textures to one object.

My problem is that I have an object, let's say it's a chair, and I can't apply two Arnold material builder textures to different parts of that object even though they have separate UV groups.

in OBJ level you can apply only single material per object. If you need multiple you can do it in SOP level. Assign group to primitives where you need material 1 and apply material 1 to that group, repeat for group 2.
