CPU Denoising

Within the AOVs manager, I add an RGBa AOV, tick 'Denoise', and try to render. I get an error saying no compatible GPUs found. I'm using a fairly old Nvidia card but thought Arnold Denoiser just uses CPUs?

If your card is too old you can use the CPU denoiser instead.

The CPU denoiser has an UI section exposed in the Arnold render panel.
You set an output, so first render a file to disk so you can grab the path and inject, after this you can keep rerendering and testing new sweetspots between rendered noise and final denoised quality.

Thanks.

I think I've got it now. I was mixing up the Optix and Noice controls!
