Regularly want to skew-slide hulls and whenever I encounter a 1 degree hull, I have to switch back to CV slide. Could these be incorporated?

Allow multiple mouse input options would be so convenient for the users who use multiple softwares. (Modo provides multiple mouse input option.) For example: Modo style Catia style(prefer this style since it requires only one hand operation) Alias style 3D Max style Maya style

Would it be possible for the 'Fit Curve' tool to work across curvature continuous surface edges, COS etc? Seeing a 'Algn' can now do this, I would have thought this would be achievable? Would speed up my workflows a lot.

i plan on buying the lenovo ideapad 330 laptop and use the autodesk alias design program with it. I've looked at the specs of the laptop to see if it is compatible with this program and it is but i wanted to see if anyone could assure me that using that laptop would be compatible of using this program.

I know it's possible to use a U=0 V=1 (or similar) falloff, but it takes ages. It would be really helpful if I could move or slide a hull with falloff down the other hulls.

When pasting with 'Paste options' > 'New Layer...' if I type the name of an existing layer, it pastes into that layer which can be really frustrating. I would prefer if it created a new layer and added "#2" as it would when you create a layer normally.

A tool to align a full surface (every CV) to another surface. This would be especially helpful for trim-divided surfaces so as you modify the main surface, the divided surface follows.

Dear Autodesk Team, I'd like to change the background colour of the highlighted stage in the stage editor window. In default it is bright blue, I'd like to change it into something darker, because all my other UI colours are dark grey-ish. I can change almost any colour in Alias, but not this one. Hello Everybody, I was wondering, if there is a possibillity that the Align tool remembers the setting for (outer Edge) either "Edge align" or "skew" from the align Operation performed before. Mostly I want to use "Edge align", while the tool always switches to "skew" instead. Please, let me know, if this is possible to change so the tool naturally remembers "Edge align" like it remembers the continuity. If ist not available, implementing this option would safe one click per Edge, which adds up if you work on a huge set of surfaces. Thanks André Ostrowski

Dear Alias-ideas-team, I would like to suggest an idea for the surface evaluation tool: By drag and drop I can generate various buttons with different angles for drafting. I also would like to have different buttons with different vectors, e.g one button with 5 degree with vector XYZ for part XYZ, and a second button with 3 degree with vector uvw for part uvw. So I don't have to click "update from selection" all the time, which is time consuming. Or does this feature exist already, but I don't know how to use it. we should be able to Hot key for Next in the current active tool. Current problem - For example when we have to do multiple fillets with the same options ,everytime we need to press next to do the next fillet . This can be avoided by having a hot key for it , This improves the output by reducing the repetitive tasks. And this can be implemented for all the tools .

Example: Sample a fillet surface and then apply the same settings to other fillets without querying each fillet separately and changing the settings in each individually. Can be very useful when wanting to change from G1 to G2 or changing the form factor quickly of multiple fillets. The same can be applied to the free form blend tool and others.

I want to switch the locator prefix (True / Projected) for all locators at once. I hardly need this information and the recipients of screenshots are sometimes unnecessarily confused by the T or P. Switching all locators individually is very tedious.

Hello everyone, I don't think that feature exists but I might have missed it... I would find very useful if it could be possible to "match" CVs of a surface to the ones of another surface. Here is an example (I can think of many others): I do a 200mm offset of a surface and I break the offset history for some reasons (extends, alignments, etc). I build some other features (with history maintained) on that surface but finally, I need the offset to be 250 rather than 200mm. In this case, to keep history, I do the 250mm offset (with the same CV structure, ie same u&v degrees and spans) and then manually transform each CVs of the first surface to match the CVs of the second (offset 250mm). My request would be some sort of align tool which would allow the CVs of one surface (u0v0, u0v1, u0v2, etc) to match the corresponding CVs of another surface having an identical CV structure. Does it sound like easily achievable? Thanks! David

In another A class surfacing software I have been able to control the order of a 'curve on surface'. Practically speaking making the curve as simple as possible but achieving an acceptable shape. The resultant trim form this curve being much easier to match to for subsequent surfaces. Normally I would start from an isoparam curve on surface, which on a bezier surface would give a curve of a similar order without knots, but software would allow full control of degree and spans of this 2D curve. Then Using an xform tool to give simple u/v (on surface) movement of cv's to achieve required shape. This is something I cannot replicate in alias without extra work of projecting and manipulating 3D Curves and the resultant higher order of trim this creates. Edit points do not seem to be an effective way of modifying a curve on surface. Sure its possible in the maths of the curve on surface.

Hello, would be nice to have a preview on mirror command, so you don't get confused with the 3 different options (xy, xz, yz) especially when using construction planes.
