Dear Advance Steel Users,

 

This is a link with this request submitted before, and put in the archives because they do not think this is a pain in the neck for those who re-position

 

manually the labels on erection plans.

 

I ask everyone who had enough already to vote again either here or in the old post. 

 

All who had enough of this-please do not hesitate to raise your voice.

This is a paradox in itself.
An error is an error and no new idea for the programme.
If one already liked to enter a new idea, the idea would be following ones:
A new version in which only errors are corrected and nothing else.

But there is this idea already.

Yes, Agree, but tech support advised me to go the the idea station and to report there...

 

Catch 22.

 

On top if this, Udo is killing everything we say.

 

Idea or fix-it is killed.

 

If budget is limited for Advance Steel, and increased for Revit-ok, just say something-We will look in to this next year, next update or something.

 

But to kill everything right on the spot-this is unacceptable.

Anyhow I have got the impression that you have searched a scapegoat and have found him in Udo and this only because he does not dance after your whistle.
I find the approach of the management with Advance Steel also not right. But to put only the blame for this action on him, is in my opinion a very nasty behaviour.
Think sometimes about it.

I think, Advance Steel will already come very soon again more in the focus.
Hope dies at last.

Yes, You might be right,...but he somehow showed up in a bad moment for a number of occasions in a lousy way, and he is probably not that bad, just the way he reacts is not at the appropriate level.

 

I have also couple of web meetings that I have agreed to non-disclosure, and they confirm everything written above. 100%.

 

Business day started already here, lets get back to work.

So basically, you are defending a friend, who is social etc....this is very, very disturbing.

 

We spend our time here to try to get this software more productive, and you are telling me how good friend of yours is Udo?

 

And how others are not social?

 

Now this is my simple advice-if you do not have to say anything that will help us be more productive-please do not say anything.

 

There is Facebook, Twitter etc-room for social stuff and "Friends" as much as you need.

 

A sad fact also is a big company  does not hear the end users. Partially due to lack of experience, partially due to negligence, and partially due to a bad corporate attitude.

I decided this day, I didn't want to write anything in this thread, but I think it is needed one more time.
I didn't wrote that Udo is a friend of mine, I wrote 'I know him for a few years'.
I wrote that I hope you would have a little bit more respect to other people and don't blame them by not knowing them in person directly.
And now you wrote: 'we spend our time here to make it better'? I spend time here in this forum to help other people, I'm working much time with this software and (maybe you didn't believe me) in many cases I'm with you and your opinion that there are bugs which should be corrected. But nevertheless there are human people behind their monitors and you should wrote to them in a correct way.
And to your advise, that I had to leave, because I didn't help to be productive...I think I help more people in this forum by answer their questions as you.
So maybe we just ignore each other and the world is ok for us.

We've got to complain from all angles and in every way possible to get this fixed.

Every customer complaint regarding these issues has been unsuccessful at getting these issues

addressed up to 10/26/2017 

 

We've got to make sure that potential customers know that Autodesk is not fixing these problems

so that is might motivate Autodesk to step up and solve it once and for all.

 

 

Showing respect has nothing to do with it.  I'm not seeing anyone here being disrespectful...... just pissed off and frustrated with every right to feel that way..

 

 

 These issues have been unfixed and complained about for years.

 

Advance Steel is now owned by a billion dollar company....

Autodesk needs to put whatever resources necessary into fixing these problems.

They need to provide a product that works as advertised. 

 

Being vocal about these issues is the only way to get them addressed.

I have a few more lines for everyone to read, but I am not going that far.

 

I ask every serious Advance Steel user to step up and say what is wrong and  that it has to be fixed. As Craig said-it is a multi million company, it has the potential to be on top even with steel detailing, why not just do it! Fix it once and for all.

 

 

What I care is when I leave a drawing that has been cleaned and adjusted-to find it same way, not messed up.

This is actually a consumer fraud-promising to fix issues for years, releasing update with written statement that the issue is fixed, obviously lying, collect money with maintenance / subscription, leave the issue unfixed-100% consumer fraud.

Ilko you are not alone. Just I got tired of making suggestions, comments, etc, due the fact that we AS users don't receive a positive and quick feedback .
Tekla , SDS2 and other programs make improvements at least 3 times a year.

I do keep all posts, dated of submittal of bugs, lousy support-dev's chain being broken, submit a bug again and again.

Some of the users here i the idea station are application engineers, not real users, and if an idea gets 14-15 votes it is put in the archives, "no enough votes".

 

Other ideas get 30-40 votes-they are labeled "Future consideration"-In other words-you get the votes, but we decide what to do, not you.

 

Then the next question is-what is the purpose of this idea station?

 

Application manager called us, the users who pay and actually use this software- "The Mob". (The word Mob was deleted by Admin with halve mouth it is a marginal offense, but you can guess where it is coming from)
