Threaded Holes

Can anyone explain why when using threaded holes the hole size in the model is correct for tapping when using the SET type bolt but when you create the drawing the holes measure to the bolt size?

Is there a way to get the holes to display the diameter and label correctly and also is it possible to set a different solid hatch colour for threaded holes other than altering them manually in the 2D drawing?

Thanks.

Hi @mick-CNF

the threaded holes are labeled with their hole diameter if you want to have the tappered diameter, you could use the  token "head diameter" sounds wired but works:

If you want to have an other symbol for it (which is often done by us too), you could use this AKN

I think you will get the result it's not so hard to realize

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for that, exactly what I need, I will be experimenting now.

How do I get the label tapping size to a decimal place?

It is correct in the label box when adding the token but not in the drawing to any decimal place.

Thanks.

it a setting for the labeling:

But then all labels are created with this. You could also use the other way: doing it like this AKN article (should work, but I didn't try), I used it for single labels like the description in this thread

Ideally I would like something like this:-

The line in AstorBase - Symbols looks like this

Hi, the line seems to be correct.
Could you upload your file? I would try it on my system (which version and language do you use?)

Your symbol is working, if the other symbols are not existing or uses another diameter.
But if there's a line called hole_Any_Any_ToBo_ AS will use this symbol.
I tried it to give the Any_any line a diamter and the result is working:

I'm not sure if this is maybe a bug in the AS2021 version, I will try it in a newer one
