To summarise what others have said above. No, you can't really do what you are asking for without plotting and phasing.
A "Selected" drawing process will only draw the parts selected but the quantities on the drawing will be for that part in the entire project. The only way to avoid this is lotting and phasing as described above. You can choose whether or not to tick the box for Lotting and Phasing but you need to assign the values either way.
No tick = the part has the same number in every lot. The drawing will show the total quantity for the whole project. BUT you can add a BOM on the drawing to show how many are in each lot / phase (included as standard in UK Build). So it might be F1023 -1200 off and the BOM says Lot 1= 550, Lot 2 = 350, Lot 3 = 400 or whatever.
Tick the box and the same part gets different part numbers in each lot / phase so the drawing shows the total quantity for that part in the whole project but that is just a single lot.
When applying Lot / Phase values you only need to apply the value to the main part of an assembly and all the attached parts inherit it automatically. You do need to go into the properties of every part to set the tick box though. That can be done en masse by selecting all the plates and going to properties and ticking the box and so on for other objects. However, Joint Groups and other things may interfere with that. Lotting and Phasing is best considered at the start of a project and then you can set the Defaults to have the box always ticked or not for new parts.
