Is there an option to do this connection?

Hi All,

In AutoCAD I used to create a wind brace made of an angle and a threaded rod welded to it,

as you can see the rod penetrates the beam and connects withe a nut and an arc element,

and the threaded rod is welded to the angle.

Is there a connection similar to this in Advance steel?

How can I create this connection?

Hi,

Have you tried the connections on the "Rod Bracing Joints" page of the Connection vault?

Hi @AleckGiles ,

Yes, I tried all of those connection for vain,

Maybe its a combination of angles and one of those connection,

There mist be a way to use angles as a wind brace that a threaded rod welded to it on both sides as on the picture,

It would be helpfull if someone knows how to do it.

Thank you.
