Indian Rolled Steel Section in Structural Elements

Dear Team,

Please support on below ensue.

I need to create  Ladder, handrail in advance steel with using Structural Elements. Actually i want to use Indian Rolled Section for all those elements.

Please suggest how to add Indian rolled section in Structural Elements.

If you click on the first triangle on the left of the Section Name, you can pick a different profile

Hi,

Some joints only allow the use of certain sections in certain places. The cage ladder being an example. These are controlled by a database table.

Use Management tools and Table Editor. Open Installed Databsases then find AstorRules > JointsGUIAllowedSections. In this table you have five columns. 

• Key = Next available number.
• JointName = the name of the joint to control - look for it already in the table somewhere. Cage Ladder = CageLadder
• JointControl = the Setting in the joint to control - look for an existing entry in the table. Ladder Stringer = Stringer
• AllowedSectionType = All sections of a certain shape or of a certain class. I would stick with Section Class.
• AllowedSection = The TypeNameText of the desired section class as found in the AstorProfiles > ProfileMasterTable table. Look for your known name in the RunName column then copy what is in the TypeNameText column. e.g. 

Indian Rolled Steel Channels (IS:808) = INDIAN IS Channel

If you search the various help sources (Autodesk, Graitec blogs, this forum). You might find specific answers for specific joints.

After any changes update Defaults and then you should be good to go. Remember that these settings only exist on your PC so others will not be able to edit your joint.
