Grating Notching or Cutting

I need to add a notch or a cut out section on the grating in my project, how do I do this?

Any of the Green or Orange tools shown below work on grating.

I am a newbie with Advance Steel, where do I find the button for that fly out menu?

That is the Advance Tool Pallet. To make it show up, there is a button on the "Home" tab. The features portion that I have shown is the bottom most button on the left hand side of the pallet.

Thank you for your help. I did find it after clicking on ALL the buttons in every category until I found it. Talk about learning on the fly 😕

Thanks for the answer. What's the difference between "green" and "orange" on the Features tab?

Green can be done on either plates (gratings) or beams.  Blue can only be preformed on beams.  Orange can only be preformed on plates(gratings)
