Exporting steel member lists to excel?

Hi Peeps,

Just wanting to know if its possible to export a full list of steel members for a certain country standard?

Eg: I want to export all of Japan JIS 'I' Section steel selection listings.

Is this even possible?

use model browser should be a good way.

But make sure you preliminary number the model to make sure the model browser shows everything.

You could create and save a query for this. If you then use the command 'create list' you could set this by clicking on 'predefined method' and then you could choose you query. If you now create the list, the BOM edit will open, you could create your preferred list and then it will create it by using only the parts which are part of your query. If the template was created, you could export the content as excel file

Maybe i havent worded this the best, so just a quick refresh, I just want to print a list of every steel member sizing that is available in the Japan JIS selection standard within the Advance Steel database.

For this you would need to use the sql interface, install that and then find the required tables in the database , then use the option to export to excel , for the whole table, or you can use a simple selection and select all and copy and paste into an excel spreadsheet.

i would make a list from within AS of the group profile name, then look in the profile master table, for those references, that should then give you the individual table names relative to what you require.

If I understand it correct, you only want to have every profile which is in the standard installation?

Maybe a second way instead of Johns answer is possible.

• open the management Tools +Table editor (1)
• open all Databases (2) and filter for Japan (3)
• select a table for example Japan_I (4)
• left Mouse button click in the blue box in front of the first line (5)
• hold the shift key and then second left mouse button click in the last row to select all entries (6)
• right mouse button click and then the context menupoint Copy (7)
• Open excel, add the name of the profile in a row, next row press ctrl+V to paste the content.
• next step--> next profile
