Advance Steel 2018

I would like to find a solution to the following.

I am trying to attach an angle to a concrete wall via a steel ferrule that will be cast into the concrete wall (Ferrule = steel tube with an internal thread)

The issue I have is placing a bolt through the angle and into the ferrule to give me a bolt length for a site bolt list.

Hi,

It is not possible to use concrete objects in AS as a connection object.

There are two ways to get around this. One is to place a dummy angle or plate behind the wall to connect to and then use the bolt macro.

The other way is to use the anchor macro. Change the anchors to threaded bar and then insert a nut on the rear using the special part function.

The tube is quite simply placed at the same centers as the bolts/threaded bar.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards

Chris
