Issue Batch Creation BETA

Issue Batch Creation BETA

If I select multiple collisions and create several issues via "Batch Creation," it would be beneficial if I had the option to automatically reference these tasks to each other.

Hello @Hanspeter.Hoehn , thank you for the idea.

Could you clarify the purpose of this request, the specific type of information you're seeking, and how it will be used in the subsequent workflow?

Do you mean a reference between the issues which are created in a batch run? In case of 10 issues, each issue references 9 other issues, in sum 90 references.

Kind Regards Marco Ramolla

Hallo @Ramolla.Marco,

Good point, I hadn't thought of that.

If the selected collisions are closely related but are still to be assigned to different tasks, it would be helpful to document this relationship through mutual referencing.

This would be a deliberate measure implemented by setting an option.

I thought there would be 3-4 tasks at the same time.

When I think about it, there could be a higher-level task (by default the first in the series?) that is exclusively referenced.

This would strongly document the connection with a small number of references.
It would help to quickly switch between related tasks.

As an alternative, I think there could be a “quick filter” for the issue list, e.g., by clicking on the prefix of the issue, which would cause only the grouped issues to be displayed.

Thank you for providing the details!

You can first create a main task and then link other related issues to it. This helps organize and track related work more efficiently.
You can find more information on how to do this here: Attach Issues as References

Please note that this setup doesn’t include automation — for example, closing a sub-issue won’t automatically close the main issue.
