I have mentioned this already mulitple times to succes managers from Autodeks, but it doesnt seem te get through, and new policy is to add "feature requests" throught the idea board.
Why are things developed for projects instead of project templates. Basicaly a template is also a project, but one that gets copied when a new project is created based on that template.
We turn 200+ projects a year and because new features that are developed are only available on projects and not in templates all those things (i.e. correspondence types, create 4 correspondence types in 200 projects, means doing the same thing 800 times!) need to be implemented on each new project instead of setting them up in the template.
It should be a lot easier to devolop for the templates as that would surely make it also availble for a seperate project. Main time saver.
Also, it seems that once it's developed for projects, there is less interest to expand it to templates (as it takes forever for a new feature to reach a template, if it makes it at all)
Making things that can be configured in a project also available in a template is the missing link. It's the thing that would make a nice product a great product.
