CDE Administrators and BIM Coordinators, the custodians of Issues, would like the option to edit and remove comments. With anyone being able to comment but no one able to edit or delete them, it risks the comment section being full of errors, typos, contradicting information etc. and we as managers are not able to control the information. We want to encourage the use of the tool, but without any means of managing the information, we risk adding confusion, contradiction and complexity. I agree that not all standard users should be able to go back and amend their comments (risk of backtracking), so I am suggesting Admins to be the only ones able to edit, and for all changes to be captured in the change log of the issue.
We would also like for comments to be searchable, and to be able to filter by which issues have comments attached, and for there to be a way to search which comments someone has been tagged in.
