I have an older file that used Mental ray and I want to use it with Arnold render.
I used the convert tool, but it breaks everything. I don't mind creating the material from scratch. I'm not sure what material to use in Arnold for a substitute for shellac. Also, other materials are gradient ramp, color correction. I'm not the original author of the file, for it was made by the person before me at my company or they purchased it somewhere else.
We upgraded from 3Ds Max 2016 to 2021 recently.

I can't help, but do you have any good rubber tire matl's for arnold?
Do you have any example of how the material should look like?
This is a Mental Ray rendering
I was playing around today I think Blend maybe the way I might go.
That shellac to me looks like the coat layer. Just to give an extra punch for the material.
