So basically want to make a basic script to make a single chain of bones into an ik/fk switch rig. so I just want to know how to copy a set of selected bones and keep all the parent links.
or would it be easier just to construct new bones from the positions of the selected bones, do i even really need bones? could i just constrain the bind skeleton to point helpers?
