Reverse Mouse Wheel Zoom Direction

Is it possible to reverse the mouse wheel zoom direction in the viewport?. Both Inventor and Autodesk have this option. Do not understand why 3ds Max refuse to do the same.

Hi,

There is a way to change globally the Mouse Wheel behavior,

1- in Start Menu type regedit, then run as adminstrator the regedit program

2- Inside the regedit look for: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, expand the folders marked in red

in the picture below

Inside the HID folder, expand all sub-folders, until you find the folders named "Device Parameters"

Whenever you see a folder with this name click and look on the right side to see if you find a value named:

"FlipFlopWheel", now double click this value and change the value inside from 0 to 1. click Ok

In my computer i found two folders named "Device Parameters" that contain "FlipFlopWheel" values

And i changed them both to 1.

In your case it might be the same case or different. Anyway now unplug your mouse few few seconds,

No need for more than 3 or 4 seconds, and plug it again and it should work.

Thanks for the reply. I'll certainly try this if I can find no other options. Shame Autodesk do not include such a basic preference setting though.
