How to Path Deform a whole bunch of objects together?

Hi,

I am building a kind of tunnel. I build one segment of the tunnel and after that I would like to PathDeform the complete tunnel. Unfortunately the tunnel consists of several different objects. So I selected everything and tried to PathDeform everything. But I get weird results. If I try FFD Modifier it works well (except for the problem with bended Arnold quad lights.)

Thanks for suggestions, appreciate the help!

All the best

Kai

( I am not a native English speaker, so forgive me if something is not correct.)

Sry, thought my Thread was completely dead.

I made that tunnel sequence finally with blender. Mainly because rendering time was much faster.

It was used for a trailer

Looks good!  Which renderer did you use in Blender and what were your render times per frame and output resolution?

Thanks 🙂

I rendered it witch cycles and it took 15-20 Minutes per Frame.

In Max it was 25 Minutes+ per Frame just for a few tunnel segments and therefor also just a few lights. First I wanted to use Eevee but Eevee can just handle 128 lights and that was too less. I could have animated thje position of the lights but I figured that this animation would have cost me more time than using Cycles 🙂

EDIT: I have an i7-7700K, 32GB RAM and a GTX1080Ti
